For your parents · coming soon

A caring presence for the people you love.

Give your parent a companion that calls them, listens and remembers them. No app: all it takes is a telephone.

Why Compagnie

☎️

Just a telephone

No app, no screen: just a number to call, even from a landline.

🧠

It remembers

The grandchildren's names, stories from their younger days, Thursday's doctor's appointment.

🕰️

Always patient

It speaks calmly, gives them time to answer, and never gets annoyed by a repeated question.

👨‍👩‍👧

It brings family closer

“Have you talked to Marie this week?” It encourages family ties instead of replacing them.

How it works

Three steps — and your parent decides.

  1. 1

    You create their companion

A name, a voice, a personality — and what matters to your parent: family, the grandchildren, their passions, their routines.

  2. 2

    Your parent says yes

On the first call, the companion introduces itself and asks for their consent. Nothing happens without them.

  3. 3

    They talk every day

Your parent calls whenever they feel like it, or their companion calls them at the chosen time: a morning call, a quick word in the evening.

🎙 With their voice

The sugar shack

I grew up on a farm in Saint-Hyacinthe, we were seven children. In winter, Dad boiled the maple water in the shack and you could smell it all the way to the house. My brother Roger and I would pour the taffy onto the snow…

New · Postcards

Their memories, illustrated — and told in their own voice.

Now and then, the companion invites your parent to tell a memory: their childhood home, how they met, a Christmas long ago. If they wish, the story becomes an illustrated postcard sent to you — with their voice, if they agree to the recording.

  • You can ask for the story you've always wanted to hear.
  • Nothing is shared without their yes, story by story.
  • To keep, to print, to listen to again in ten years.
📞

“Shall I call Marie for you?”

If your parent talks about you fondly, the companion offers to call you and puts them through. No answer? You get a text, and it picks the conversation back up.

🎂

The dates that matter

The grandson's birthday, your parent's own: the companion thinks of it a few days ahead and suggests a little note or a call.

💬

A companion that fits them

Formal or familiar, topics to avoid, a slower voice if they're hard of hearing: you set it in their profile, it adapts.

Respect and trust

Designed with dignity, for them and for you.

Their privacy is respected

You don't read their conversations. You only see whether they've talked with their companion and, if they agree, a short summary of the week.

Protected from scams

The companion never asks for money or personal information, and warns them about suspicious calls.

You're alerted if something's wrong

If your parent agrees, you get an alert when they mention a fall or distress. This is not an emergency service: in an emergency, call 911.

They stay in charge

Your parent can stop at any time, simply by saying so. Their data can be deleted on request.

Questions from families

You're probably wondering…

My parent isn't comfortable with technology. Is this right for them?

That's exactly the idea: there's nothing to install or learn. Your parent dials a number, or picks up when their companion calls.

Can I read their conversations?

No. They belong to your parent. You see their activity (have they talked with their companion?) and, only if they agree, a summary and alerts.

Does this replace our calls and visits?

No, and that's not the goal. The companion is an extra presence for the moments when no one is available — and it encourages your parent to stay in touch with you.

What happens in an emergency?

The companion is not an emergency service or a medical device. It encourages them to call 911, and can alert you if your parent has agreed to it.
